Validación del Título de Doctorado Profesional Ejecutivo en Liderazgo

En el marco de un Memorando de Entendimiento (MOU) ya establecido en junio de 2025, Appleton Private University, con sede en Londres, y el Institute of Corporate Leadership and Mentorship (ICLM), una distinguida institución profesional de Ghana y Nigeria, han consolidado su colaboración académica con la confirmación de la validación mutua de programas. Este acuerdo estratégico subraya un compromiso firme con el reconocimiento de títulos y cualificaciones, marcando un hito en la facilitación de la movilidad estudiantil y el enriquecimiento educativo.

Conforme al artículo 3 de su acuerdo , Appleton Private University y el ICLM se comprometieron a reconocer y validar los títulos y cualificaciones que cada institución otorga, adhiriéndose a sus respectivas regulaciones y normas. Este compromiso es fundamental para asegurar la calidad y equivalencia de los programas académicos entre ambas entidades.

Un punto central de esta colaboración es la validación por parte de Appleton Private University del Título de Doctorado Profesional Ejecutivo en Liderazgo (EPDL) del ICLM. Este programa, descrito por el ICLM como un título profesional "PRÓPIO, práctico y basado en doctorado" , está diseñado para equipar a profesionales experimentados con conocimientos avanzados y una visión estratégica para abordar problemas complejos de liderazgo y desafíos organizacionales. Los objetivos del EPDL incluyen reconocer y validar la experiencia en liderazgo, fomentar el pensamiento reflexivo y crítico, y proporcionar una vía estructurada para sintetizar conocimientos.

El Institute of Corporate Leadership and Mentorship (ICLM) es una compañía profesional multidisciplinaria con enfoque en liderazgo/gestión, emprendimiento, medios/comunicación, finanzas/contabilidad y desarrollo de mentorías. La institución está incorporada y garantizada por la Comisión de Asuntos Corporativos de Nigeria y cuenta con la aprobación del Ministerio Federal de Educación (FME) de Nigeria.

Para la selección y operación del EPDL, el ICLM ha establecido criterios rigurosos. Los candidatos deben tener 40 años o más , poseer un primer título más certificación profesional y 15 años de experiencia, o un máster o doctorado en cualquier disciplina. Además, se requiere la presentación de un Currículum Vitae, una Declaración de Intención formal y la identificación de una especialización preferida entre una gama de opciones, incluyendo Doctorado en Administración Pública y Liderazgo, Liderazgo Educativo, Liderazgo Empresarial, y otras. Los candidatos deben compilar un "Dossier Ejecutivo" para demostrar su competencia profesional avanzada, el cual será evaluado por un Consejo de Examinadores/Asesores.

La Junta de Examinadores/Asesores del ICLM, responsable de mantener la integridad y credibilidad académica, está compuesta por distinguidos profesionales. Entre sus miembros se encuentran el 

Prof. Peter Esuh, Decano de la Facultad de Comunicación y Estudios de Medios en la Universidad de Uyo , 

el Prof. Isegnesit P. Solomon, especialista en Fisiología Animal de la Universidad de Uyo , 

el Dr. Anietie John AtaI, Profesor de Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad Estatal de Akwa Ibom , 

el Pastor Prof. Emmanuel Aduah, Decano de Desarrollo del Ministerio Ministerial Cristiano en ICLM y Profesor de Teología , y 

el Dr. Iniobong Godwin Ekpo, Profesor Principal en el Colegio de Educación. Un Representante de Appleton Private University también forma parte de esta junta.

La concesión del Título de Doctorado Profesional Ejecutivo está prevista para el 13 de noviembre de 2025, durante la Conferencia Nacional de Liderazgo y Emprendimiento del ICLM. Ambas instituciones trabajarán en la aprobación del estilo de certificado propuesto, buscando un diseño "distinto y único".

El Dr. José M. M. Castelo Appleton, Rector de Appleton Private University, ha confirmado el respaldo de su institución, declarando: "Por parte de Appleton Private University, tienen todo nuestro apoyo. Valoramos y aprobamos la validación del Título de Doctorado Profesional Ejecutivo en Liderazgo".

El Apóstol Emmanuel Eduongo, Presidente Nacional/DG del ICLM, había expresado previamente la esperanza de su institución de contar con este apoyo.

In accordance with Article 3 of their agreement , Appleton Private University and ICLM committed to recognizing and validating the degrees and qualifications granted by the other institution, adhering to their respective regulations and norms. This commitment is fundamental to ensuring the quality and equivalence of academic programs between both entities.

A central point of this collaboration is the validation by Appleton Private University of ICLM's Executive Professional Doctorate Degree in Leadership (EPDL). This program, described by ICLM as a "PROPIETARY, practical and doctorate-based" professional degree, is designed to equip accomplished professionals with advanced knowledge and strategic insight to address complex leadership problems and organizational challenges. The objectives of the EPDL include recognizing and validating leadership expertise through academic benchmarking, fostering reflective and critical thinking on professional performance, and providing a structured pathway for synthesizing knowledge.

The Institute of Corporate Leadership and Mentorship (ICLM) is a multi-disciplinary professional company focused on leadership/management, entrepreneurship, media/communication, finance/accounting, and mentorship development. The institution is incorporated and guaranteed by the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria with Certificate No: 1427594 and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) of Nigeria.

For the selection and operation of the EPDL, ICLM has established rigorous criteria. Candidates must be 40 years or older, possess a First Degree plus Professional Certification and 15 years of experience, or a Master's or Doctorate Degree in any discipline. Additionally, a Curriculum Vitae, a formal Declaration of Intention, and the identification of a preferred EPD specialization from a range of options including Doctorate in Public Administration & Leadership, Educational Leadership & Management, Business Leadership & Entrepreneurship, and others, are required. Candidates must compile an "Executive Dossier" to demonstrate advanced professional competence, which will be evaluated by a Body of Examiners/Assessors.

The ICLM Board of Examiners/Assessors, responsible for upholding academic integrity and credibility, is composed of distinguished professionals. Its members include Prof. Peter Esuh, Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Uyo, Prof. Isegnesit P. Solomon, a distinguished academic specializing in Animal Physiology at the University of Uyo, Dr. Anietie John AtaI, Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Akwa Ibom State University, Pastor Prof. Emmanuel Aduah, Dean of Christian Ministerial Leadership Development at ICLM and Professor of Theology, and Dr. Iniobong Godwin Ekpo, Principal Lecturer at the College of Education. A Representative from Appleton Private University is also part of this board.

The conferment of the Executive Professional Doctorate Degree is scheduled for November 13, 2025, during ICLM's National Leadership & Entrepreneurship Conference. Both institutions will collaborate on the approval of the proposed certificate style, seeking a design that is "distinct and unique".
