La Akademie der Kampfkunst-Wissenschaften, el corazón de la Martial Arts Association (MAA), es reconocida por su dedicación al avance y la profundización del conocimiento en las artes marciales. Como centro de excelencia para líderes –incluyendo funcionarios, líderes de equipo y grupo, entrenadores, instructores y examinadores–, la Academia se esfuerza por elevar el arte y la ciencia de las artes marciales a un nuevo nivel.

Este nuevo acuerdo con la Appleton Private University se fundamenta en las tres pilares esenciales de la Academia:

• Enseñanza: Ambas instituciones se comprometen a ofrecer un programa educativo integral que capacite a los estudiantes en todos los aspectos de las artes marciales. El plan de estudios conjunto cubrirá tanto los aspectos teóricos como prácticos de diversas disciplinas, garantizando una comprensión holística y una práctica magistral.
• Investigación: La colaboración impulsará la rama de investigación, dedicada a explorar las múltiples facetas de las artes marciales. Esto incluirá proyectos de Ciencia Ciudadana, estudios arqueológicos y culturales, investigación práctica, análisis de escrituras antiguas, prácticas tradicionales, así como investigaciones modernas en psicología y ciencias del deporte. Este esfuerzo conjunto contribuirá a expandir y profundizar el conocimiento sobre la historia, la filosofía y la técnica de las artes marciales.
• Documentación: La Appleton Private University y la Academia se comprometen con la meticulosa documentación y archivo del conocimiento. Esto abarcará desde elaboraciones escritas, libros y estudios, hasta materiales audiovisuales. Además, se apoyará la preservación del legado a través del Museo de Judo y el futuro Instituto para el Museo de Budología, donde se presentarán y, en parte, se experimentarán exposiciones de diversas épocas y culturas. La fructífera labor de la Academia ha resultado en la producción de casi 250 películas educativas y la publicación de alrededor de 200 libros, además de haber adquirido los derechos de otras 450 películas educativas.

Reconocimiento a la Excelencia: Los Títulos Honoríficos de la Academia

La Akademie der Kampfkunst-Wissenschaften se distingue por otorgar títulos honoríficos a personalidades destacadas que han sobresalido por sus méritos y cualificaciones en el mundo de las artes marciales. Estos títulos, concedidos por decisión de la junta directiva, sirven como reconocimiento y homenaje a contribuciones excepcionales. • Filósofo de las Artes Marciales: Reconocimiento a aquellos que sobresalen por su profunda reflexión y análisis teórico de los aspectos filosóficos de las artes marciales, explorando sus dimensiones éticas, morales y espirituales.

Appleton Private University is pleased to announce the formalization of a momentous collaboration agreement with Die Akademie der Kampfkunst-Wissenschaften – Der Führungsakademie der MAA (The Academy of Martial Arts Sciences – The MAA Leadership Academy). This strategic alliance marks a significant milestone in promoting and developing martial arts at both academic and practical levels, uniting Appleton's educational excellence with the German Academy's profound knowledge and research.

A Shared Commitment to Teaching, Research, and Documentation

Die Akademie der Kampfkunst-Wissenschaften, the heart of the Martial Arts Association (MAA), is renowned for its dedication to advancing and deepening knowledge in martial arts. As a center of excellence for leaders – including officials, team and group leaders, coaches, instructors, and examiners – the Academy strives to elevate the art and science of martial arts to new heights. This new agreement with Appleton Private University is founded on the Academy's three essential pillars: Teaching, both institutions are committed to offering a comprehensive educational program that trains students in all aspects of martial arts. The joint curriculum will cover both the theoretical and practical aspects of various disciplines, ensuring a holistic understanding and masterful practice.

Research, the collaboration will boost the research branch, dedicated to exploring the multifaceted aspects of martial arts. This will include Citizen Science projects: archaeological studies, cultural investigations, practical research, studies of ancient scriptures, traditional practices, as well as modern psychological and sports science research. This joint effort will contribute to expanding and deepening knowledge about the history, philosophy, and techniques of martial arts. Documentation, Appleton Private University and the Academy are committed to the meticulous documentation and archiving of knowledge. This will encompass written works, books, and studies, as well as audiovisual materials. Furthermore, support will be given to preserving the legacy through the Judo Museum and the future Institute for the Budology Museum, where exhibits from various eras and cultures will be presented and, in part, experienced. The Academy's fruitful work has resulted in the production of nearly 250 educational films and the publication of around 200 books, in addition to having acquired the rights to another 450 educational films.

Martial Arts Historian, this honorary title is awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves through their comprehensive research and documentation of martial arts history. Martial Arts Historians are dedicated to the careful examination of historical sources, the preservation of ancient traditions, and shedding light on the origins and developments of various martial arts styles. Their work is essential for preserving the rich heritage and cultural significance of martial arts for future generations. 

Martial Arts Philosopher, the title of Martial Arts Philosopher is conferred upon those who stand out for their profound reflection and theoretical analysis of the philosophical aspects of martial arts. These individuals explore the ethical, moral, and spiritual dimensions of martial arts and contribute to the intellectual enrichment of the field through their deliberations. Their work helps to understand and disseminate the deeper meanings and life lessons embedded in martial arts. These honorary titles are not only awards for individual achievements but also an acknowledgment of each individual's contribution to the community and to the ongoing evolution of martial arts sciences. They reflect the diversity and depth of knowledge that exists in the world of martial arts.
