Las críticas no tardaron en proliferar, provenientes principalmente de ciertos sectores no académicos, tal vez de cierrtos grupos que podían ver tambalear sus plataformas feudales, de asesoramiento. Se cuestionaba la validez de su objeto de estudio, la metodología de investigación aplicable y, en última instancia, la legitimidad de otorgar recursos y reconocimiento a un campo tan peculiar.

Sin embargo, los visionarios detrás de esta iniciativa, un grupo multidisciplinar de sociólogos, antropólogos, psicólogos, economistas y expertos en gestión cultural, defendieron con vehemencia la pertinencia y la riqueza inherente al estudio de la vida nocturna. Argumentaban que la noche, lejos de ser un mero escenario de ocio y desenfreno, constituye un crisol de interacciones sociales complejas, un laboratorio de identidades fluidas, un motor económico significativo y un espejo de las dinámicas culturales en constante evolución.

Para la sociología, la noche ofrece un campo privilegiado para observar las normas sociales en suspenso, las subculturas emergentes y las dinámicas de poder que se manifiestan de forma particular en la ausencia de la luz del día.

La psicología se adentra en los mecanismos de desinhibición, la búsqueda de experiencias sensoriales y la construcción de identidades nocturnas. La economía, por su parte, reconoce el impacto millonario de la industria del entretenimiento nocturno, desde la creación de empleo hasta el turismo y la innovación en servicios. Finalmente, la gestión cultural vislumbra en la noche un espacio de creación artística, de experimentación estética y de preservación de tradiciones musicales y performativas.

Con estos sólidos argumentos como base, la Faculty of Nightlife Studies se embarcó en una rigurosa labor de investigación, desarrollando metodologías innovadoras que combinaban la observación participante en entornos nocturnos, el análisis de datos cuantitativos sobre patrones de consumo y comportamiento, la realización de entrevistas en profundidad con actores clave de la noche (desde empresarios y artistas hasta trabajadores y usuarios habituales) y el estudio de archivos históricos y representaciones culturales de la vida nocturna a lo largo del tiempo.

Poco a poco, los resultados de estas investigaciones comenzaron a arrojar luz sobre la complejidad y la relevancia del fenómeno nocturno. Se publicaron artículos académicos, informes, se CREÓ EL PRIMER OBSERVATORIO SERIO DE LA ANTROPOLOGÍA SOCIAL DEL OCIO NOCTURNOS ( EL WORLD NIGHTLIFE OBSERVATORY), junto con el PRIMER BOLETÍN QUINCENAL, se presentaron ponencias Y se establecieron colaboraciones con otras instituciones universitarias interesadas en el tema. La calidad y el rigor del trabajo realizado por la Faculty of Nightlife Studies comenzaron a disipar las dudas iniciales y a generar un creciente reconocimiento en el ámbito académico, sobre todo por la iniciativa y esfuerzo de la INTERNATIONAL NIGHTLIFE ASSOCIATION, la INA, sociedad LIDER, invitada a participar en el CONGRESO MUNDIAL DE LÍDERES DE LAS NACIONES UNIDAS, desde GLOBAL COMPACT. 

La propia Appleton Private University, inicialmente cautelosa ante la controversia, brindó un apoyo constante a la facultad, reconociendo el potencial innovador y la capacidad de generar conocimiento original en un campo hasta entonces inexplorado desde una perspectiva académica formal. La perseverancia del equipo fundador, la solidez de sus argumentos y la calidad de su producción científica fueron fundamentales para superar el escepticismo inicial y consolidar la Faculty of Nightlife Studies como una realidad académica legítima y respetada.

Tras superar la fase inicial de críticas y escepticismo, la Faculty of Nightlife Studies ha experimentado un período de notable consolidación y expansión. 

El Máster en Estudios de la Vida Nocturna, con sus diferentes especializaciones (Sociología de la Noche, Gestión Cultural Nocturna, Psicología del Ocio Nocturno, Economía del Entretenimiento Nocturno), se ha convertiRrá en un programa altamente demandado, formando a una nueva generación de investigadores y profesionales capaces de comprender y gestionar la complejidad del mundo nocturno.

La facultad ha establecido una amplia red de colaboraciones con otras  instituciones de investigación a nivel global, fomentando el intercambio de conocimientos, la realización de proyectos conjuntos y la organización de seminarios y congresos internacionales. Estas alianzas estratégicas han enriquecido la perspectiva de la facultad y han contribuido a la difusión de sus investigaciones a un público más amplio.

La facultad también ha establecido vínculos con la industria del entretenimiento nocturno, colaborando con empresas, asociaciones  la elaboración de informes y la formulación de recomendaciones para una gestión más sostenible, inclusiva y culturalmente rica de la vida nocturna. Criticism soon proliferated, stemming mainly from certain non-academic sectors, perhaps from certain groups who could see their feudal advisory platforms faltering. The validity of its object of study, the applicable research methodology, and ultimately, the legitimacy of allocating resources and recognition to such a peculiar field were questioned.

However, the visionaries behind this initiative, a multidisciplinary group of sociologists, anthropologists, psychologists, economists, and experts in cultural management, vehemently defended the relevance and inherent richness of studying nightlife. They argued that the night, far from being a mere setting for leisure and debauchery, constitutes a melting pot of complex social interactions, a laboratory of fluid identities, a significant economic engine, and a mirror of constantly evolving cultural dynamics.

For sociology, the night offers a privileged field for observing social norms in suspension, emerging subcultures, and power dynamics that manifest in a particular way in the absence of daylight.

Academic articles, reports, and THE FIRST SERIOUS OBSERVATORY OF THE SOCIAL ANTHROPOLOGY OF NIGHTLIFE (THE WORLD NIGHTLIFE OBSERVATORY) were CREATED, along with the FIRST BI-WEEKLY NEWSLETTER. Papers were presented, AND collaborations were established with other university institutions interested in the subject. The quality and rigor of the work carried out by the Faculty of Nightlife Studies began to dispel initial doubts and generate increasing recognition in the academic sphere, especially due to the initiative and effort of the INTERNATIONAL NIGHTLIFE ASSOCIATION (INA), a LEADING society invited to participate in the UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT LEADERS SUMMIT.
