ESTATUTOS DEL DEPARTAMENTO DE ARTES MARCIALES DE LA APPLETON PRIVATE UNIVERSITY

PREÁMBULO

Por resolución rectoral de la Appleton Private University, y en virtud de las facultades que le confieren los estatutos generales de esta casa de estudios, se decreta la creación del Departamento de Artes Marciales y su equipo de competición, el "Appleton Ravens Martial Arts Club". 

Esta iniciativa nace del compromiso de la Universidad con la formación integral de su comunidad, reconociendo el deporte y las artes marciales como vehículos para el desarrollo de la disciplina, el liderazgo y el bienestar físico y mental.

TÍTULO I: CONSTITUCIÓN, FINES Y DOMICILIO

Artículo 1: Constitución y Denominación

1. Se constituye el Departamento de Artes Marciales como una unidad académica y deportiva dependiente del Vicerrectorado de Vida Estudiantil y Deportes de la Appleton Private University.
2. Bajo la tutela de este Departamento, se funda el club deportivo oficial "Appleton Ravens Martial Arts Club", que representará a la Universidad en todas las competiciones.

Artículo 2: Fines del Departamento

1. Formación Académica y Deportiva: Ofrecer a la comunidad universitaria un espacio para la práctica y el estudio de las artes marciales, fomentando la excelencia deportiva y el rendimiento académico.
2. Representación Institucional: Conformar y dirigir los equipos de selección ("Appleton Ravens") que representarán a la Appleton Private University en competiciones universitarias, federadas y de invitación.
3. Fomento de Valores Universitarios: Promover a través del deporte valores como la integridad, el esfuerzo, el respeto, el trabajo en equipo y el liderazgo.
4. Vida Universitaria: Enriquecer la vida en el campus mediante la organización de eventos, seminarios y actividades relacionadas con las artes marciales.

Artículo 3: Domicilio El Departamento y el Club tendrán su sede en las instalaciones deportivas designadas por la Appleton Private University.

TÍTULO II: ESTRUCTURA Y GOBERNANZA

Artículo 4: Órganos de Gobierno La estructura de gobierno del Departamento será:

1. Director del Departamento: Designado por el Rector, será el máximo responsable académico y administrativo. Deberá ser un miembro del personal docente o administrativo de la Universidad.
2. Coordinador Técnico (Entrenador Principal): Responsable de la planificación deportiva, la dirección de los entrenamientos y la selección de los competidores.
3. Junta Deportiva: Órgano consultivo compuesto por el Director del Departamento, el Coordinador Técnico, un representante del profesorado y un representante de los estudiantes deportistas.

Artículo 5: Competencias del Rector El Rector, como máxima autoridad de la Universidad, tendrá la potestad de:

1. Nombrar y cesar al Director del Departamento.
2. Aprobar el presupuesto anual del Departamento.
3. Ratificar los reglamentos internos y las normativas disciplinarias.

TÍTULO III: DE LOS MIEMBROS DE LA COMUNIDAD UNIVERSITARIA

Artículo 6: Elegibilidad Podrán ser miembros del "Appleton Ravens Martial Arts Club":

1. Estudiantes Atletas: Alumnos matriculados en cualquier titulación oficial de la Appleton Private University que cumplan con los requisitos académicos y deportivos.
2. Miembros del Personal: Personal docente, investigador y de administración y servicios de la Universidad.
3. Alumni: Egresados de la Universidad, bajo un reglamento específico que regulará su participación.

Artículo 7: Derechos de los Estudiantes Atletas

1. Recibir entrenamiento técnico y preparación física de alta calidad.
2. Acceder a las instalaciones y material deportivo de la Universidad.
3. Representar a la Appleton Private University en competiciones oficiales.
4. Optar a posibles ayudas o becas al mérito deportivo-académico que la Universidad pueda establecer.
5. Recibir justificación por la asistencia a competiciones oficiales, según la normativa académica vigente.

Artículo 8: Deberes de los Estudiantes Atletas

1. Rendimiento Académico: Mantener un expediente académico satisfactorio, conforme a la normativa de elegibilidad deportiva de la Universidad. Un rendimiento académico insuficiente podrá causar la suspensión temporal del equipo.
2. Compromiso Deportivo: Asistir a los entrenamientos y convocatorias, y seguir las indicaciones del equipo técnico.
3. Conducta Ejemplar: Mantener en todo momento una conducta que respete el código ético de la Universidad y los valores del deporte.
4. Representatividad: Portar con orgullo el escudo y los colores de la Universidad.

TÍTULO IV: EQUIPO DE COMPETICIÓN "APPLETON RAVENS"

Artículo 9: Selección y Modalidades

1. El Coordinador Técnico será el responsable de establecer los criterios y realizar las pruebas de selección ("try-outs") para conformar los equipos en las diferentes modalidades de artes marciales (Combate, Formas, etc.).
2. La selección se basará en el mérito deportivo, el potencial del atleta y su alineación con los valores de la Universidad.

Artículo 10: Normativa de Competición

1. Todos los miembros del equipo deberán conocer y acatar los reglamentos de las competiciones en las que participen.
2. El Departamento se encargará de la inscripción, logística y equipamiento para los eventos oficiales.

TÍTULO V: RÉGIMEN DISCIPLINARIO

Artículo 11: Faltas y Sanciones Cualquier violación de estos estatutos o del código de conducta del estudiante de la Appleton Private University será evaluada por la Junta Deportiva, que podrá proponer al Director del Departamento sanciones que van desde la amonestación hasta la expulsión del equipo, sin perjuicio de otras medidas disciplinarias que la Universidad pueda aplicar.

DISPOSICIÓN FINAL

Estos estatutos entran en vigor con la firma de la presente resolución rectoral y solo podrán ser modificados por el mismo órgano, a propuesta del Vicerrectorado de Vida Estudiantil y Deportes.

STATUTES OF THE MARTIAL ARTS DEPARTMENT OF APPLETON PRIVATE UNIVERSITY

PREAMBLE

By rectorial decree of Appleton Private University, and by virtue of the powers conferred by the general statutes of this institution of higher learning, the creation of the Martial Arts Department and its competition team, the "Appleton Ravens Martial Arts Club," is hereby decreed. This initiative stems from the University's commitment to the holistic development of its community, recognizing sports and martial arts as vehicles for the development of discipline, leadership, and physical and mental well-being.

TITLE I: ESTABLISHMENT, AIMS, AND ADDRESS

Article 1: Establishment and Name

1. The Martial Arts Department is established as an academic and athletic unit under the Office of the Vice Rector for Student Life and Sports of Appleton Private University.
2. Under the guidance of this Department, the official sports club "Appleton Ravens Martial Arts Club" is founded, which will represent the University in all competitions.

Article 2: Aims of the Department

1. Academic and Athletic Training: To offer the university community a space for the practice and study of martial arts, promoting athletic excellence and academic performance.
2. Institutional Representation: To form and manage the selection teams ("Appleton Ravens") that will represent Appleton Private University in university, federated, and invitational competitions.
3. Promotion of University Values: To promote values such as integrity, effort, respect, teamwork, and leadership through sports.
4. University Life: To enrich campus life through the organization of events, seminars, and activities related to martial arts.

Article 3: Address The Department and the Club shall be based at the athletic facilities designated by Appleton Private University.

TITLE II: STRUCTURE AND GOVERNANCE

Article 4: Governing Bodies The governing structure of the Department shall be:

1. Head of the Department: Appointed by the Rector, this person will be the highest academic and administrative authority. They must be a member of the University's faculty or administrative staff.
2. Technical Coordinator (Head Coach): Responsible for athletic planning, managing training sessions, and selecting competitors.
3. Sports Board: An advisory body composed of the Head of the Department, the Technical Coordinator, a faculty representative, and a student-athlete representative.

Article 5: Powers of the Rector The Rector, as the highest authority of the University, shall have the power to:

1. Appoint and dismiss the Head of the Department.
2. Approve the Department's annual budget.
3. Ratify internal regulations and disciplinary codes.

TITLE III: MEMBERS OF THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY

Article 6: Eligibility The following may be members of the "Appleton Ravens Martial Arts Club":

1. Student-Athletes: Students enrolled in any official degree program at Appleton Private University who meet the academic and athletic requirements.
2. Staff Members: Faculty, research, and administrative staff of the University.
3. Alumni: Graduates of the University, under specific regulations that will govern their participation.

Article 7: Rights of Student-Athletes

1. To receive high-quality technical training and physical conditioning.
2. To access the University's athletic facilities and equipment.
3. To represent Appleton Private University in official competitions.
4. To be eligible for potential academic-athletic grants or scholarships that the University may establish.
5. To receive excused absences for attending official competitions, in accordance with current academic regulations.

Article 8: Duties of Student-Athletes

1. Academic Performance: To maintain a satisfactory academic record, in accordance with the University's athletic eligibility regulations. Insufficient academic performance may lead to temporary suspension from the team.
2. Athletic Commitment: To attend training sessions and official calls, and to follow the instructions of the coaching staff.
3. Exemplary Conduct: To maintain at all times a conduct that respects the University's code of ethics and the values of sports.
4. Representation: To wear the University's emblem and colors with pride.

TITLE IV: "APPLETON RAVENS" COMPETITION TEAM

Article 9: Selection and Modalities

1. The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for establishing the criteria and conducting selection tests ("try-outs") to form the teams in the different martial arts modalities (e.g., Combat, Forms).
2. The selection will be based on athletic merit, the athlete's potential, and their alignment with the University's values.

Article 10: Competition Regulations

1. All team members must know and abide by the regulations of the competitions in which they participate.
2. The Department will be responsible for registration, logistics, and equipment for official events.

TITLE V: DISCIPLINARY REGIME

Article 11: Infractions and Sanctions Any violation of these statutes or the Appleton Private University student code of conduct will be assessed by the Sports Board, which may propose sanctions to the Head of the Department ranging from a warning to expulsion from the team, without prejudice to other disciplinary measures the University may apply.

FINAL PROVISION

These statutes shall enter into force upon the signing of this rectorial decree and may only be amended by the same body, upon the proposal of the Office of the Vice Rector for Student Life and Sports.
